Labour cost and ratio
Analytics calculates labour cost from the planned shifts times the hourly wage in the Rota, per day against your till revenue. Clocked times do not count for this; open shifts without a person are shown alongside.
For labour cost you need the Rota, for the ratio you also need till data.
How it is calculated
- Cost per day: the planned shifts times the hourly wage entered for the person in the Rota. Anyone without an hourly wage counts as €0.
- Ratio: that cost relative to the revenue of the same business day.
- The calculation uses the plan, not clocked times.
- Open shifts without a person cost nothing today, so they are shown as a separate figure instead of flattering the ratio.
Where you see it
- In the Figure and source table as Labour cost ratio, with cost and hours.
- In the breakdown of a day under Shift: “planned × hourly wage = …” and the share of revenue.
- In the Labour cost and ratio report and as Labour cost as CSV.
- Per hour and the Staffing and revenue through the day report show at what time of day how many people are on duty and what is taken in that time.
When it does not add up
- “planned on … of … days” or “revenue without a shift in the plan”: these days have revenue but no plan. The ratio then comes out too low.
- “… h open”: shifts without a person. They are not counted.
