Data and security
What happens to your data after cancelling
If you cancel a module, its data is kept; if you book it again later, everything is still there. If the whole contract ends, you can export your data for another 30 days; after that it is deleted unless a retention duty applies.
Cancelling a module
If you cancel a single module, it keeps running until its end date. After that it can't be used, but its data is kept. If you book it again later, everything is still there. The same applies when a trial ends.
The whole contract ends
With the last module, the contract ends altogether. After that:
- You can still export your data in a common format for 30 days.
- Veydex then deletes it, unless a statutory retention duty applies. Where one does, processing is restricted for its duration instead of deleting.
- You are responsible for backing up your data in time and for your own retention duties.
So export what you need before the end, for example from Guest records, Analytics or Billing.
Suspended access is not a cancellation: the data remains complete and is not deleted.
