Keep your number and forward it to the Phone AI
Your number stays yours. As soon as the Phone AI number shows under Settings › Line, forward your number there, usually with *21*number#, and switch Kio answers on.
Guests keep dialling your usual number. Forwarding brings the calls to the Phone AI; nothing has to be set up anywhere else.
Forward once the number is live
- 1. Open Phone AI and then Settings › Line.
- 2. Look at Phone AI number: - If it says reserved, not live yet, do not forward yet. Nobody answers on this number so far. - If it shows the number with the forwarding instructions, it is live.
- 3. Forward your number to this number. Your phone provider explains how; it usually works with \*21\*number#.
- 4. Set Kio answers to On and choose Save line. Kio only takes calls when switched on.
Under Setup status you see what is done, what is missing and who is on it. If it says setup is stuck, Veydex is taking care of it; Check again asks for the current state.
Several numbers
If guests call you on several numbers, enter them under Your phone numbers separated by commas and forward each one.
Back to answering yourself
If you want to take calls yourself again, undo the forwarding with your phone provider and set Kio answers to Off. When switched off, Kio books nothing and answers no questions from your knowledge.
