Set the Phone AI's voice, greeting and tone

Under Settings › Voice you listen to the voices, write the greeting, notes for Kio and what Kio never says, and choose tone and pace. Whether Kio uses the formal or informal German address you set under Settings › General.

You decide how Kio sounds on the phone. The character is a choice, not free text; that way the fixed limits stay in place whatever you set.

How to set it

  1. 1. Open Phone AI › Settings › Voice.
  2. 2. Voice: Listen to the voices with Listen, in phone quality and with your own greeting, and pick one.
  3. 3. Greeting: the first sentence of every call. `{name}` is replaced with your business name. Leave the field empty and Kio phrases it itself.
  4. 4. Notes for Kio: what Kio should know about your business, in a sentence or two.
  5. 5. Kio never says: one line per point, ten at most, such as "Never discuss prices for private events".
  6. 6. Choose the Tone (Warm, Matter-of-fact or Brief) and the Pace (Normal, Calm or Brisk).
  7. 7. Choose Save voice. It applies from the next call.

Formal or informal address

The form of address belongs to your business, not just to the Phone AI. You set it under Settings › General at Address guests as. It then also applies to the booking page, emails and reminders.

Should callers hear that an AI is speaking?

The Hub does not add a fixed sentence about this by itself. What the caller hears first is set by your greeting. If callers should know, write it into the greeting.

What cannot be set

Under Handoff and hours you find the Limits that always apply: Kio never decides on vouchers, discounts or goodwill, Kio cannot change or cancel a reservation, and the Hub does not store the wording of a conversation. No greeting and no note overrides this.
