Connect your own domain to Veydex Link

You enter the domain in Veydex Link and set two records with your domain provider: a TXT record as proof and a pointer to Link. The domain only counts as connected once it belongs to you, points to Link and answers over HTTPS.

Instead of under link.veydex.com, your page can appear under your own domain. Up to three domains work per page. The owner sets this up.

How to connect it

  1. 1. Enter the domain in Veydex Link, such as www.your-business.com.
  2. 2. Link shows you the records to set with your domain provider: - a TXT record under `_veydex-link.` in front of your domain, with the verification value that starts with `veydex-link-verify=`. It shows that the domain belongs to you. - a CNAME pointing to the target Link shows. For a domain without "www", these are A or AAAA records with the addresses shown instead.
  3. 3. Set the records with your provider. It can take a while until they apply everywhere.
  4. 4. Have Veydex Link check the domain.

Only when all three proofs are in place is the domain "connected": it belongs to you, it points to Link, and it answers over HTTPS. The Hub keeps checking this afterwards. If a proof drops away, Link stops showing the page under that domain.

If it gets stuck

  • The Hub never writes to your DNS settings itself. You set the records.
  • If TXT and pointer are in place but the HTTPS check does not pass, write to support@veydex.com and give the domain. Setting up custom domains is not fully automatic yet.
  • You buy a domain from your provider. Veydex Link suggests available names but does not buy any.
