Till and Connect
Are receipts counted twice?
No. If the same receipt arrives twice, the Hub counts it once; a correction replaces the old version. A transaction without a unique receipt number is rather not counted at all than counted twice, and the Hub tells you so.
The Hub recognises every receipt by its receipt number from the till.
What happens when
- the same receipt arrives again: it counts once. In an export it appears under already there.
- a changed receipt arrives again: that is a correction. The new version replaces the old one.
- an export is uploaded twice: nothing counts double, even for a spreadsheet without receipt numbers.
Transactions that do not reach the reports
If Operations › Tills says that transactions arrive but are not carried into the reports, they lack a unique receipt id. Without it a retry cannot be told apart from a second sale, and the Hub would rather not count at all than count twice.
This affects tills that send to the Hub themselves. Whoever connected the till has to send the receipt number along, see The push channel.
