Till and Connect
My till has stopped delivering
Under Operations › Tills every till shows whether it is running. If one goes quiet for a while, the Hub tells you once. With Manage › Fetch now or Test connection you check; if access was refused, you renew the credentials.
At the top of Operations › Tills, one sentence says how your tills are doing. Every till has a status.
What the statuses mean
- Running: data is coming in.
- Delayed: data is coming in, but later than usual.
- Partly disrupted: something is wrong at the provider. Yesterday's figures stay, the next fetch may fix it.
- Action required: something needs you, usually the credentials.
- Waiting for first data: connected, but no receipt yet.
- veydex is setting it up: the team is on it.
- Disconnected.
Below it, it says what is going on, for example Access was refused. Please renew the credentials. or No new sales data since …
What you can do
- 1. At the till, choose Manage.
- 2. Fetch now fetches immediately instead of waiting for the hourly fetch.
- 3. Test connection checks with the provider. If it then says Credentials confirmed, the connection is live., access is not the problem.
- 4. If access was refused, choose Change credentials and enter new ones.
What the Hub does itself
- Grants that are about to expire it renews beforehand. You only hear about it when there really is something to do.
- If a till goes quiet for a while, it tells you once, and Veydex looks into it.
- If a field that used to be on every receipt suddenly goes missing, such as who rang up the sale, it reports that too.
When the till comes back, the notice disappears by itself.
