Hand over ownership or add a second owner
Give a person the Owner role under Settings › Access & roles. After that you can change your own role or remove yourself, because a business always needs at least one owner.
A business can have several owners. Each of them may do everything: settings, billing, roles and access, deleting data. Only give the role to people you trust with that.
Make another person an owner
- If they already have access: under Settings › Access & roles, choose Owner in their row.
- If they don't yet: invite them with Invite access and choose Owner as their access.
Give up ownership completely
- 1. First make the new person an owner, as above.
- 2. Then change your own role, or choose Remove next to yourself.
It doesn't work the other way round: the last owner can be neither demoted nor removed.
Remember that invoices go to the address in the Billing details. Update it under Billing if responsibility changes.
