Account and sign-in

Email “New sign-in to your veydex account”

This email arrives when someone signs in from a device your account did not know yet. If it was you, there is nothing to do; if it wasn't, choose “Secure your account” in the email and set a new password.

When someone signs in from a device your account did not know yet, the Hub sends you the email “New sign-in to your veydex account”. It lists the device, approximate location, IP address and time.

It was you

Then everything is fine and there is nothing to do. This happens, for example, with a new phone, another browser or after clearing your browser data.

It wasn't you

  1. 1. Choose Secure your account in the email.
  2. 2. Set a new password on the page and choose Secure account.
  3. 3. Your account is then signed out on every device, including this one, and only your new password works.
  4. 4. Sign in again and turn on two-factor sign-in under Settings › Security.

The link is valid for 24 hours and only once. Opening it changes nothing; only the button on the page does. If it has expired, reset your password with Forgot password?. That signs your account out everywhere too.

The Hub sends at most one such email per quarter of an hour. You see every sign-in under Settings › Security › Sign-ins.
