Account and sign-in
Roles and permissions at a glance
The Hub has five kinds of access: Owner, Shift lead, Accounting, Staff and View only. What each role may do is listed under Settings › Access & roles in “What the roles can do”.
Each person has exactly one kind of access in your business. It decides what they see and may do in the Hub.
- Owner: everything, that is settings, billing, roles and access, deleting data.
- Shift lead: runs the schedule, maintains food-safety checks, floor plan and stock, and sees the tip preview. No billing, settings, roles or deleting.
- Accounting: reads billing, payments, figures, shrinkage, tips with export, plus invoices and contracts. Changes nothing and sees no guest data.
- Staff: works the shift, that is bookings, checks, clocking in. No administration.
- View only: sees the same work areas as the team and changes nothing.
What always applies
- Only owners assign roles.
- The server checks the permissions on every access, even if someone types an address directly.
- The role applies per business. Someone in two businesses can have a different role in each.
- A business always has at least one owner.
- The Role at work in the Rota, such as service or kitchen, is something else: it shows on the shift and grants no rights.
The team never sees revenue and figures, labour cost and wages, guest records, billing, the till, helpers, the Marketplace or settings.
If your Hub holds till, guest or payment data, owners, shift leads and accounting need two-factor sign-in.
