Guests and reservations

The guest has arrived: checking in

When the guest arrives, choose “Check in” on their reservation, or “Is here” under arrivals in the floor plan. If the reservation is linked to Guest records, this counts as a visit.

Checking in means: the guest is seated. The reservation then shows as Seated.

In the list or occupancy view

  1. 1. Open the reservation, or choose Check in right in the List.
  2. 2. A line appears at the bottom saying the guest is checked in, with Undo.

During service

  1. 1. In Reservations, open the Floor plan and choose Start service. The floor plan goes full screen with large buttons and refreshes itself.
  2. 2. On the right are the arrivals. Choose Is here for the guest.
  3. 3. If the reservation has no table yet, the Hub asks Which table?.
  4. 4. Leave full screen with Back to reservations.

On a phone

In the Today overview, tapping the next reservation opens the guest. There you find Confirm for a request and Check in for a confirmed booking; after checking in, Undo appears.

What checking in triggers

If the reservation is linked to a guest in Guest records, it counts as a visit. If you undo the check-in, the visit goes away again. After the visit, the Hub can ask for a review if the Reviews module is booked and switched on.
