Invented job ads do not go here — not even to make the page look fuller. As soon as a role is open it stands in this spot: with the job, the hours, the location and the way in.

Four rules that were not written for applicants. They stand on the product pages just the same — here is only what they mean for a working day.
The operation sets the task
A module comes from something someone solves today with notes, a spreadsheet or five messages. Building here means understanding how a Saturday night runs — not only what a data model looks like.
Local-first is part of the job
The till sits in the venue and computes there, and the models run on that device. That is less comfortable than a cloud where everything lives in one place — and the reason a forecast fits this one shop.
Arithmetic before guesswork
Analytics is plain algorithms: time series, forecasts, comparisons, auditable at any time. The helpers build on that and do not replace it. Anyone who would rather ask a model than check a number will not be happy here.
What is missing says so
Where a module falls short of its own copy, that is written on the module line — on the pricing page, in the quote and in the interface. The same holds internally: naming a gap is not bad news here, it is the work.

Until then we read speculative applications. Especially from people who have stood behind a counter themselves — that knowledge is hard to catch up on, and the trade is short of it everywhere.
Three things help us more than a cover letter
- What you last worked on — and which part of it was your own decision.
- What you would build at Veydex: a module, a routine, an annoyance from your own working day.
- Where it can be seen: repository, project, reference or attachment.
The documents go straight into storage we run ourselves — no applicant portal where things get stuck, and no inbox full of attachments. We delete them no later than six months after the process ends.
What is not here yet
Pay, place of work and contract type are settled per role, once there is one — and then they stand in the posting. Claiming any of it beforehand would be the same invention as a job ad without a job.
