Create dues: start the dues run by hand

The dues run has no fixed date; it does not run by itself on the first of the month. You start it whenever it suits you.

How to start it

1. 011. Open Memberships. Next to the Find a member field you see Dues for … with the open amount and create dues.
2. 022. Choose it. The question Create the dues for …? explains what happens.
3. 033. Confirm with Create dues.

What happens

• For every running contract, everything due up to today is created as an open charge.
• Nothing is debited.
• Creating them twice never writes anything twice.
• A fee is due from the start of the contract: a yearly contract from 15 March is due again on 15 March. Someone who starts on the 31st is due on the 28th in February and on the 31st again in March.
• No fee falls due during a freeze.
• A cancelled contract gets fees up to the day the cancellation takes effect.

On the membership card, a fee that is due but not yet created shows as due since …, not created yet. It is created with the next run.
