Deviation and corrective action
If a reading is outside the target range or a checklist item stays open, the round asks “What did you do?”. Nothing is saved without an action. The deviation then sits in the log with action, value, time and name.
In an inspection, the first question about a deviation is: what was done? That is why in Veydex the corrective action is part of the record itself.
How to record a deviation
- 1. Type the value. If it is outside, it says for example “Above 7 °C, action needed”.
- 2. The round asks: “5.8, above 7 °C. What did you do?”
- 3. Pick a suggestion, such as “Door closed, measure again in 30 minutes”, “Goods moved to another fridge” or “Thermostat turned colder”, or Write your own action.
- 4. Choose Record with action.
The same goes for a checklist: if an item stays open, the round asks “One item not done. What did you do?”, with suggestions like “Will be done later today” or “Shift lead informed”.
Without an action the Hub does not accept the record.
What happens next
- The record carries value, target range, assessment, action, time and your name. The assessment stays as it is, even if someone changes the target range later.
- The deviation appears in the Hub's notifications, with check point and reason.
- The check point shows “Deviation at …, please measure again”. Measure again records the new value; next time the round shows the earlier action alongside.
- In the inspection report the line appears as a deviation with its action.
A mistyped value is not a deviation but a correction, see Correct or add a reading later.
