Payments, Link and phone

Create a payment link and send it to the guest

Under Payments choose Create payment link, enter amount, purpose and validity and press Create link. Copy it with Copy link and send it yourself by email or message.

A payment link is an amount with a purpose that the guest pays at Stripe, such as the deposit for a company party or a catering order. You need an enabled payment account first, see Set up your payment account at Stripe.

  1. 1. Open Payments and choose Create payment link.
  2. 2. Enter the Amount. It must be at least €1.00; Stripe accepts nothing below that.
  3. 3. Write the Purpose, for example "Deposit company party 12 Sep". It appears on the guest's bank statement, so write it in a way the guest understands.
  4. 4. Choose the Kind: Payment link, Deposit, No-show fee or Prepayment. The kind helps you find it again; it changes nothing about the process.
  5. 5. Choose how long the link is Valid for: 1 day, 3 days, 1 week or 30 days.
  6. 6. Guest and Email are optional.
  7. 7. Below the form you see what the guest pays, what goes off as the fee and what reaches you with the payout. Press Create link.

The Hub does not send the link itself. Press Copy link and send it to your guest by email or message. You can also find the link later in the list under Waiting for the guest, again with Copy link.

The link stays the same until it expires. If Stripe's payment page expires in the meantime, the Hub opens a new one behind it.

What the guest sees

The guest pays on Stripe's page. If the link has expired or been withdrawn, the page tells them that nothing was charged and that they should contact you. Then you create a new link.
