Stock is below zero
Stock below zero almost always means something was used without its goods receipt being booked. Add the delivery with Add delivery instead of correcting the stock.
The Hub accepts an entry even if it pushes the stock below zero. A negative figure is information: more was used than was booked in.
Where you see it
- At the top of Stock: “… items are below zero, almost always a delivery is missing”.
- Under Gaps, the article is listed with “delivery missing”.
- On the article itself there is a note in red.
What to do
- 1. Under Gaps, choose Add delivery next to the article. The article opens on Receipt.
- 2. Enter the missing delivery with Quantity and, if you have it, the Total price.
- 3. Choose Book.
That is more correct than correcting the stock: with the receipt, purchase cost and food cost are right too.
If no delivery is missing and the number on the shelf is simply different, count the article. The stocktake books the difference, see Do a stocktake.
