What gets ordered together
Under Menu › Analysis, What gets ordered together uses your till receipts to show which dishes often appear on the same receipt and by how much a dish raises the receipt on average.
Open Menu and the Analysis tab. Under What gets ordered together you find two kinds of lines.
What a dish adds to the receipt
“raises the receipt by … on average”: this is how much higher a receipt is on average when this dish is on it, compared with receipts without it. A starter with a thin margin can earn its place that way.
What belongs together
“together on … % of receipts, …× as often as chance”: these two dishes appear on the same receipt more often than random ordering would suggest.
Good to know
- It is calculated over the receipts of the last 90 days.
- It needs till receipts with line items. If your till only sends receipt totals, the list stays empty.
- If the lines are matched to dishes, you see the names from your menu, otherwise those from the till, see Match till lines to dishes.
- With too few receipts it says “Not enough receipts yet to say anything”.
The figures are an observation, not a recommendation. What you do with them is your call.
