Guests and reservations
Who is asked for a review
Every guest with an email address is asked after a visit, with no selection by satisfaction. The only ones left out are those who cancelled, did not come, said no, are blocked, unsubscribed or left no address.
Who is asked
Every guest whose reservation is marked Seated or walk-in, with an email address from Guest records or from their online booking. At most one request goes out per visit, and one that has been answered is not followed up.
Who is not asked
- anyone who cancelled or did not show up
- anyone with Appointment reminders set to no in Guest records, or who is blocked
- anyone who unsubscribed through an unsubscribe link
- anyone who left no email address
- the module does not ask after appointments in the appointment book or after visits without a reservation
The preview before switching on and before Ask now shows how many are skipped for which reason.
Why everyone
A pre-selection that sends only happy guests to Google is misleading advertising under German competition law and breaks the platforms' rules. So the Hub asks every guest in a period, and the link to your public profile is the same for two stars as for five. The Hub keeps a record of which requests went out.
When you first switch it on, the Hub reaches back seven days at most, so no guests from last quarter get mail.
