Add a dish
In Menu, choose Add dish and enter at least a name and a price. The dish then sits in the draft; guests only see it once you publish the menu.
You add dishes on a computer. On your phone you can only change prices and mark dishes as sold out for today.
How it works
- 1. Open Menu and choose Add dish.
- 2. Enter Name and Price. Without both, the dish cannot be published.
- 3. Choose the Category. Without one, the dish appears under “No category”.
- 4. Whatever else you already know: Description, Amount (such as “0.3 l”), Allergens, Additives, Food cost.
- 5. Choose Publish when the menu should apply like this.
The other fields
- VAT dine-in and VAT takeaway are preset to 19 % and 7 %. You can change both.
- Item number: each number exists only once per business. If you enter the number your till uses for the dish, the Hub can match the till lines reliably.
- Food cost: net per portion. With it, the dish shows its margin, see Food cost and margin.
- Variants: under New variant, enter a name such as “Small portion” and a Surcharge or discount, then choose Add variant. Food cost and recipe stay with the base dish.
Remove a dish
Choose Remove dish. It disappears from the menu when you publish, together with its variants. Until then, Bring back restores it.
The menu is edited by the owner.
