Team and Veydex Shift

Settle and release tips

Under “Tips” you pick the period, check on the right under “Closing” and create a draft with “Settle …”. Under “Settlements” you release it with “Release settlement”; it is then frozen, and “Download CSV” goes to payroll.

Settling happens in two steps: settling creates a draft, releasing freezes it. You do both on a computer; on the phone you only see who gets how much.

Settle

  1. 1. Open Tips › Preview.
  2. 2. At the top, pick the period: Month, Week or Custom (at most 92 days).
  3. 3. On the left are the pot and each person's share; every share opens up down to the calculation.
  4. 4. On the right under Closing, step Check: whatever the Hub checks itself is already there, such as whether every evening with tips has a shift. Tick Compared with the cash book and Hours per person checked once you have done so.
  5. 5. Step Settle: choose Settle …, for example “Settle November”. This creates a draft.

Release

  1. 1. Open Tips › Settlements and the draft.
  2. 2. When everything is checked, choose Release settlement.
  3. 3. If the till shows that it sends no tips, the Hub asks “Release without tip data?”. Release anyway continues, and this is logged.

After release, later corrections to shifts or receipts no longer change the shares. A released settlement cannot be deleted. A period that overlaps a released settlement is refused; the same tips cannot be split twice.

Export

In the Export step, choose Download CSV: name, role, minutes, points, share. For payroll the released version is what counts; before that there is Draft as CSV.

If something has changed

If the draft shows “Changed since it was created”, the preview would give a different result today, for example because a shift was added. Choose Delete draft and settle again so the release carries today's data.
