Table taken or time blocked: book anyway

When the Hub reports a taken table, it says from when to when and for whom, and suggests free tables. With “Book anyway” your team overrides it on purpose; that then goes into the log.

The Hub stops you when a table is already taken at that time or the time does not fit your limits. But it does not forbid anything for good: the phone rings, the regular is standing in the door, and you decide.

Table taken

The message reads something like: T7 is taken from 19:00 to 20:30 (Müller family). Free would be: T3, T5.

  • Pick one of the suggested tables with Use … instead of the taken table, or
  • choose Book anyway (when editing, Save anyway) if you are double-booking the table on purpose.

The table check always applies, even if you have not entered opening hours.

Time blocked

If the time lies outside your limits, the Hub gives the reason, see Why a time is not free. Book anyway works here too.

What happens afterwards

  • What was overridden goes into the venue's log, for example “T7 double-booked”.
  • A double booking shows in red in Occupancy and in the day's summary.
  • Guests on the booking page cannot override.
