Guests and reservations
The booking page on your own website
In the “Online booking & opening hours” window, “Link & embed” holds the link to your booking page and a snippet for your website. Guests see only free times there and leave a phone number or email.
Your booking page has its own link and can be embedded in your website as a window.
Getting the link and snippet
- 1. In Reservations, open the Online booking & opening hours window (through Set up, or in Occupancy through Table time … min).
- 2. Under Link & embed: - Public booking page: Copy link for Instagram, Google or an email, Open page to look at it. - Embed on your own website: Copy snippet and paste it into your website.
If it says the page only goes live once online booking is started and at least one day has opening hours, one of the two steps is still missing, see Setting up online booking.
What guests see
- Only free times for their party. The page does not show how busy you are or which tables are taken.
- They enter name, party size and a phone number or email. Without a way back to them, the page accepts nothing.
- The booking is a request until you confirm it, see Confirming an online request.
- With an email address, the guest gets an acknowledgement straight away.
Good to know
- The page is in German. Whether it uses the formal “Sie” or the informal “du” is set under Settings › General; emails to guests follow the same form of address.
- For a holiday closure, the page shows the label you entered, such as until when you are closed.
- The page takes no deposit, see Is a deposit possible?.
