Create a membership plan
Under Memberships open the plans and choose Add plan. A plan carries fee, billing interval, minimum term, notice period and, if you like, a signup fee and benefits. A new price only applies to new contracts.
A contract needs a plan. So create the plans you offer first; after that, contracts take seconds.
How to create a plan
- 1. Open Memberships and expand Plans (…) in the list. If there is no plan yet, Add plan is right at the top.
- 2. Choose Add plan.
- 3. Enter: - Name - Description: what a member gets, in one or two sentences - Benefits: short bullet points such as "10% off food", each with Add - Fee and Billed: monthly, quarterly or yearly - Minimum term (months): 0 means cancel any time - Notice period (days) - Signup fee, if you charge one. It is created as a charge of its own at the start of the contract.
- 4. Leave Offered on and choose Add plan.
Change or retire a plan
To change a plan, select it in the list; Edit plan opens, and you save with Save plan. Running contracts keep their fee; a new price only applies to new sign-ups. A price rise therefore never makes an existing contract more expensive.
If you no longer offer a plan, switch off Offered. No new contracts can be made on it, existing ones keep running.
