Read the void rate and its trend
Shrinkage & voids shows the void rate for the chosen period at the top, voided divided by revenue before voids, without names. Below, each business day is a bar; one click opens the day with its void receipts, discounts and anything recorded by hand.
Open Shrinkage & voids, tab Overview, and pick the period at the top: Week, 30 days, 90 days or 1 year.
The total at the top
- The void rate: voided divided by revenue before voids. Below it you see how much was voided in how many void receipts, on what revenue from how many receipts, all according to the till.
- Discounts: amount and share of revenue, on valid receipts only. A voided receipt does not count again as a discount.
- Recorded by hand: breakage, spoilage and the like, as a separate total, not part of the rate.
Whether your till marks a receipt as voided or writes a reversal receipt, the rate treats both the same.
The trend
Each bar is a business day. The dashed line is the usual middle, and days clearly above it are highlighted as “unusual”. A day without voids shows as zero instead of being left out. One click on a day shows its void receipts, discounts and entries by hand.
A deviation is a question, not a finding.
Without names
Below that you see how far the rate varies between register IDs: lowest, middle, highest. Who that is, the Hub does not show. If they sit close together, a high rate is more likely down to the process; if they are far apart, more likely to processes or individuals. The per-register view stays off until the owner deliberately switches it on, see Per-register view.
Export
On the right under Report, choose Export and Download CSV. The file contains business day, receipt number, amount, discount, voided, payment method and table, without a person column.
Shrinkage & voids is visible to the owner and to the Accounting access, which can only read. The team has no access.
