Withdraw a payment link
Open the payment under Waiting for the guest and choose Withdraw. The guest can no longer pay through the link afterwards; if it has already been paid, refunding is the only way.
You withdraw an open or failed payment link when it should no longer apply, for example because the amount was wrong.
- 1. Open Payments. Open links are listed under Waiting for the guest.
- 2. Open the payment and choose Withdraw.
- 3. Confirm the question Withdraw payment link?
The Hub closes the payment page at Stripe so nobody can pay through it any more. The payment then shows as Withdrawn. If you need a different amount, create a new link.
If it does not work
- The guest has already paid. Then the link can no longer be withdrawn. It will show as paid shortly, and you can refund it, see Refund a payment.
- The money is still on its way, for example with a direct debit. Withdrawing is not possible then either. Once the money has arrived, you can refund.
- Stripe cannot be reached right now. Then the payment stays open and the Hub tells you so. Try again shortly.
