Guests and reservations
Why a time is not free
The Hub only offers a time if the whole table time fits into opening hours, the kitchen is still taking orders and every party finds a table of its own. Next to a blocked time, it shows the reason.
Next to a time that does not work, the Hub shows the reason. This is what the messages mean:
- No suitable table free: the parties present at that time cannot be spread across your tables together with this one. Every party needs one table with enough seats; a party of six does not fit at tables for four, even if the seat total says there is room.
- Party too large: the party is larger than Largest party in the booking settings.
- Too short notice: the time is within the lead time.
- Too far ahead: the time is beyond Bookable ahead (days).
- Closed at this time: the start or the end of the table time lies outside opening hours. That is why 21:55 with closing at 22:00 does not work for a 90-minute reservation.
- The kitchen closes at … – no reservation can start later.: the time is after kitchen closing.
- Holiday closure – closed on this day. or closed on this day: a closed day or rest day.
What helps
- Larger party: add a table with more seats, for example in the Group zone, see Adding tables. The check does not count tables put together (T11+T12) on its own.
- Adjust the limits in the Online booking & opening hours window, see Setting up online booking.
- In a single case: your team can override the check with Book anyway, see Book anyway. Guests on the booking page cannot.
Good to know
If the form says that without opening hours the Hub only checks that no table is booked twice, no opening hours or booking settings have been saved yet. Then there is no list of free times either.
