Team and Veydex Shift
Availability, rhythm and preference deadline
In Veydex Shift, the person marks days as “Can't” or “Happy to” under “Organize › Availability” and sets how they like to work under “Rhythm”. You set how long preferences can come in as the preference deadline.
Preferences are not a guarantee. But your workplace and the autopilot take them into account: the machine never proposes a “can't”, and a preferred day counts when planning.
Single days
- 1. In Veydex Shift, open Organize › Availability.
- 2. At the top, choose ✕ Can't or ♥ Happy to and tap the days. Clear removes an entry again.
- 3. Tap Save availability. It then says “Saved — your workplace sees it when planning.”
Your rhythm
Under Organize › Rhythm you set how you like to work: Time of day, Weekdays (tap to switch: any → like → rather not), Max. days per week and Max. evenings per week. Save with Save rhythm. The autopilot and cover search lean towards it; the rhythm never overrides the rules.
The preference deadline
The owner sets the Preference deadline under Rota › Settings › What the team can do: No deadline, 1 week ahead, 2 weeks ahead, By the 15th of the month before or By the 20th of the month before. After that the days are locked in the app, and a preference goes through the shift lead. With a monthly deadline, the app reminds people three days before.
Time off is not affected. A time-off request is not a preference, see Request and approve time off.
See it in the Hub
In the plan the person shows “Wish” or “can't”, and on the right under Wishes and absences you see the week at a glance.
