Guests and reservations
Adding a guest by hand
In Guest records, choose “Add guest”: enter name, phone, email, allergies, tags and notes and save. Most guests, though, are created by themselves from reservations with a phone number or email.
Every reservation with a phone number or email creates its guest by itself. Adding by hand is worth it for regulars you already know.
How it works
- 1. Open Guest records. Only the owner sees Guest records.
- 2. Choose Add guest. If the search finds nobody, you can also add the name you typed straight from the results.
- 3. Enter Name, phone and email, and if needed Allergies, Tags (separated by commas, each tag is a segment of its own) and Notes (one note per line).
- 4. Save with Add guest.
If the number or address already exists, see Two records for the same guest.
Afterwards
- A new guest has appointment reminders allowed and marketing not allowed. You change that under Consent, see Consent and saying no.
- With Add reservation on their card you book for them right away.
- The history builds itself once a reservation for this guest is checked in. You cannot add a visit without a reservation by hand in the record; add a reservation with Walk-in instead and check it in.
- An email address on file can be changed, but not removed.
