Till and Connect

Reading till data from a spreadsheet (CSV)

If your till can't produce a DSFinV-K export, a CSV spreadsheet works too. After uploading, you map under Map columns which column is what, check the preview and then import the receipts. Save Excel files as CSV first.

Some older tills only write a daily export as a spreadsheet. The Hub reads that too.

How it works

  1. 1. Open Settings › Integrations.
  2. 2. Under Read a till export, choose Choose archive … and pick the CSV file.
  3. 3. Map columns opens. It shows how many rows were detected.
  4. 4. Under How to read the file, set the Date format, the Decimal separator and Amounts in euros or cents.
  5. 5. Under Your column for, choose the matching column for each field, or not present.
  6. 6. Choose Preview. It shows how many rows, receipts and valid receipts there are, the first receipt and, under Contains:, which fields really are in the file.
  7. 7. Choose Import … receipts.

The preview runs through the same checks as the import. What it calls valid is valid.

Good to know

  • If, say, tips are missing in the preview, the tips report stays empty. You see it here, not only on the payout.
  • If the spreadsheet has no receipt number, the Hub recognises a receipt by its content. Importing the same file twice counts nothing double.
  • The Hub deliberately does not read Excel files. Save them as CSV in your spreadsheet program.
