Create and send a marketing campaign

A campaign is an email to a segment of your Guest records. It only goes to guests who have given consent. You design campaigns on a computer.

Create a campaign

1. 011. Open Marketing and choose Add campaign. Give it a Campaign name under which you will find it in the Schedule.
2. 022. Write straight into the email: Subject and Email text. The placeholders are Guest’s name and Business name; in the text they are written as `{{name}}` and `{{betrieb}}`. If a name is missing in Guest records, the spot stays empty.
3. 033. Choose the Segment. Without one the campaign goes to everyone with consent, see Create a segment for a campaign.
4. 044. Choose the Control group, see Control group and "not measurable yet".
5. 055. Under Who gets it you see how many guests are on file, how many have consented and how many will get the email.
6. 066. Choose Save campaign.

Test and send

1. 011. Choose Send a test to me. The email goes to your account's address, with "[Test]" in the subject.
2. 022. If you leave Send time empty, the campaign goes out at the push of a button: choose Send now and confirm with Send.
3. 033. If you enter a send time, such as "Sat, 24 Oct, 10:00", choose Schedule for …. Everything can be changed until then. The Hub starts scheduled campaigns in its hourly run, so the first emails go out within an hour of the time you entered.

The Hub adds the unsubscribe link to every email; it cannot be removed. Only the owner can send.

After sending

• A sent campaign can no longer be changed.
• Under Recipients every address is listed with its status: delivered, skipped with a reason (such as no consent, unsubscribed, control group) or failed. Download CSV takes the list with you.
• While sending is still running, Cancel campaign stops it. What has been delivered stays delivered; the Hub tells you how many that was.
