Add a stock article

In Stock, choose Add article. The name and the content per pack are required. You set the base unit (grams, millilitres or pieces) when you create the article; it cannot be changed afterwards.

A stock article is something you buy in and store, such as flour, oat milk or napkins. Stock levels, reorder proposals and recipes are all worked out from it.

How to add an article

  1. 1. Open Stock and choose Add article.
  2. 2. Enter the Name.
  3. 3. Pick the Base unit: Grams, Millilitres or Pieces. This is the unit the Hub calculates in.
  4. 4. Enter the Content per pack in the base unit. A 25 kg sack of flour holds 25000 g. Under Pack you can give it a name, for example “25 kg sack”.
  5. 5. If you like: Supplier, the supplier's Article no., Price per pack, Minimum stock and Storage.
  6. 6. Choose Add article.

What matters

  • Without a Content per pack you can neither order nor cost a recipe, and a supplier invoice cannot post the line.
  • The Price per pack is the starting value for the purchase cost. Every receipt with a price updates it from there.
  • Storage organises the stocktake: you count one storage location at a time. The field suggests locations you have already used.
  • With a Minimum stock, the article appears in the reorder list as soon as it drops below.
  • The Article no. is your supplier's number. The Hub uses it to recognise lines on that supplier's e-invoices.

Edit, deactivate, export

Tap the article in the list and choose Edit. The base unit can no longer be changed there.

A stock article cannot be deleted. Instead, tick Deactivate item when editing: it disappears from stock, stocktake rounds and the reorder list, and its movements stay exactly as booked.

You get the full list with stock, minimum, price and value via All … items and Stock as CSV.

The owner and the shift lead can add and edit articles.
