Answer enquiries from your Link page

You answer enquiries from your page in Veydex Link: accept, decline, reply or suggest another time. Table requests also appear in the Hub's reservation book, and the guest sees the status on their enquiry's page.

What guests want through your page arrives in the Hub, not in an inbox. You answer in Veydex Link; in the Hub, Link shows the number of Open requests.

Which enquiries there are

  • Table requests: Without the Reservations module, the guest sends a request. It appears in the Hub's reservation book as unconfirmed, checked against opening hours, holidays, lead time and group size.
  • Other enquiries, depending on the industry: message, callback, appointment request, service, quote, event, trial session, feedback or complaint.

For a callback the guest needs a phone number, for most others an email address. For new enquiries you get a notification and an email.

How to answer

  1. 1. Open the enquiry in Veydex Link.
  2. 2. Accept or decline, write a reply or suggest another time. Only one suggestion is open at a time; a new one replaces the old one.
  3. 3. The guest gets an email with a button to their enquiry. There they see the whole thread, write back or accept your suggestion.

An enquiry can also be moved into the reservation book or the appointment book.

Good to know

  • The status page and email tell the guest "received", not "confirmed". You do the confirming.
  • As long as the enquiry is open, the guest can withdraw it.
  • If a guest replies directly to an email, it reaches nobody. Writing happens on the enquiry's page.
  • An enquiry takes at most 30 messages; after that the page asks the guest to call.

What happens to data from enquiries is in Data from enquiries, export and deletion.
